The slogan reads across the Nou Camps banked seats in Barcelona and so it can apply to the slopes of Cuttleslowe Park.
“It’s been hard for your boys this season” says Paul Lyon, top League Official. We were proud of your achievements and we know you are good enough. Yes propping up the A League is not the best of positions but on the whole you showed great effort and next season we are confident, we will have more victories to saviour.
As we approach our fifth year together (for some boys), our team of teenagers participate to have fun and enjoyment, boost self esteem, team spirit, decent behaviour and friendship- all good life learning experiences we hope.
The coaching staff have done some soul searching after a very testing time for our players who were low on confidence. We know they can improve their standard to compete against better sides. We need to revisit the technical, tactics, psychological, physical and most importantly your personal development needs.
The six keys to player success include:
- 1. Ask questions about how to improve
- 2. Maintain enthusiasm for the game-your positivity will
spread to all team members.
- 3. Be determined to play your best – our stars never give
up slogan – that’s all we ask.
- 4. Believe you can play well and are the better team.
- 5. Doing the skills you know best.
- 6. Have fun – laugh, relax the Brazilian way!
We have highly respected coaches, supporters who help out doing the little things that count and lastly magnificent squad players.
We will learn from this experience, dust ourselves down and come out fighting next season in a challenging and close B League.
We are more than a team. Thank you.
