Girls Teams

Wow doesn't time fly when you are having fun. Four teams in the hunt that never let up. The U11 C league was one of the tightest of all the divisions in the Oxford Mail Boys League.

The player statistics later on the next page show that most boys got a lot of football and progressed in meeting our aim to play better soccer and be good citizens.

In our first season we managed 3rd and two points behind the champions, East Hendred. We only narrowly lost two games by a one goal both to the teams above us and had the lowest goals scored against us. A magnificent result for all concerned we are very proud of what you have achieved.

United are fortunate to have four FA qualified coach dads (five in 06/07) who each have skills to bring to enhance the guided discovery style of learning with fun.

United are fortunate to have parents who keep to the code of conduct; ask early if there are any concerns; usually good at telling us about availability or sickness; being punctual and helping out on match day. Thank you.

United are very fortunate to have a great team of lads who are enthusiastic, clearly love playing soccer, and want to improve as a team.

Our highlights were beating the Champions 2-1 by sheer determination on a windy rain driven January afternoon at the foothills of the Ridgeway; seeing David Beckham wave at us at Old Trafford while taking our seats to support England in the world cup and your smiles while training.
We wish to thank our two sponsors Savills and Aladdin garages for their contribution to our kit. We also wish Tom good luck and welcome some new signings including Lewis and Max.

We are very much looking forward to the 06/07 season starting Sunday 10th September and wish you good luck to develop your football as you move into secondary education with even more distractions and growing pains!

Rory, Joe, Mark and David - Never give up.
